A woman has shared her experience after receiving a harsh text from a beautician who informed her that she would be charged extra for future waxing sessions due to the 'size of her pubic area'.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Sarah Button had an eventful week following her first bikini wax appointment.
For those unfamiliar, a bikini wax is a beauty procedure where nearly all of your pubic hair is removed by waxing. It’s a highly personal procedure, and if it's your first time, it’s natural to feel anxious.

The waxer needs to get very up close and personal with your intimate areas, so it’s crucial to have someone who is empathetic and as gentle as possible, ensuring a positive experience.
Unfortunately for Sarah, the discomfort didn’t stem from the waxing itself but from a blunt message she received afterward.
"Just in [the] future, I’ll have to charge you a little more for the size of the area," the waxer wrote. "I hope that makes sense, nothing crazy, like $5 or $10 extra."

Can you imagine?!
Screenshots initially showed Sarah being polite, responding with a simple 'no worries', but it’s clear that she was taken aback by the message.
Speaking to Tyla, Sarah explained: "The whole appointment was super chill. I can usually sense when something is off, and I didn’t suspect anything. Now I’m questioning myself even more."
When asked if she had contacted the waxer since then, she replied: "We had a phone call because I told my little sister, and she gave her a piece of her mind. The waxer called me to clarify and said it was a misunderstanding. But was it really a misunderstanding? I declined and hung up."

After the ordeal, Sarah, who hails from Australia, shared an important message for those who have a 'FUPA'. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it stands for 'Fat Upper Pubic Area.'
Again, speaking with Tyla, she remarked: "The message I want to convey is that many people have similar body types, but we don’t often see them because the cycle of not seeing similar bodies makes us think we’re ‘different’ or ‘deformed’, which leads to hiding, perpetuating the lack of awareness that it’s a common body type."
"In mainstream media, I’ve never seen a representation of a larger pubic area, which made me feel isolated with my FUPA. I never spoke about it."

She continued: "Knowing and having confidence can have a domino effect in various ways. I’ve received hundreds of messages from women thanking me, relating to me, or expressing frustrations about their bodies, making me acutely aware of the importance of self-contentment.
"Discussing it is crucial too. You’d be surprised how many people in your family share the same body type and are—yes, you guessed it—hiding!
"It turns out both my mom AND sister have a FUPA. It’s often genetic or hormonal. The point is, your body isn’t offensive, and you don’t need surgery or fixing because there’s nothing to fix. Some people even pay for fat transfers to this area, so feel blessed with what you have.
"As the saying goes, 'good pumpum deserve shelter' and 'the bigger the FUPA, the tastier the chalupa'.

I think that sums it up perfectly, don't you?
