Ne-Yo reveals his sleeping arrangements with his girlfriends amid controversial polyamorous relationship

Ne-Yo has shared more insights into his five-person polyamorous relationship, this time focusing on their unique sleeping arrangements.

The 45-year-old American singer has previously disclosed that he is in a committed relationship with four women, each of whom has a special nickname.

For those not familiar with polyamory, it refers to the openness to having romantic and/or sexual relationships with more than one person at the same time.

In Ne-Yo's situation, the 'Miss Independent' artist has been candid about his polyamorous lifestyle and earlier this year introduced all of his partners to his large social media audience.

In March, he shared a photo of the group on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: "Since the world is so intrigued, I guess I should introduce my loves properly. LADIES AND GENTS I PRESENT MY PYRAMID."

Ne-Yo then tagged each of the four women along with their nicknames: Cristina (Pretty Baby), Arielle (Twin Flame), Moneii (Phoenix Feather), and Bri (Sexy Lil’ Somethin’).

Naturally, people have many questions, one of which is about how the group sleeps.

Ne-Yo provided an answer during YouTuber Kai Cenat's livestream on September 10.

He explained that the group of five all sleep together in an Alaskan King-sized bed at his home.

The musician confirmed: "'That's like two California Kings next to each other. You have to get that mattress custom made."

An Alaskan king bed typically measures 108-by-108 inches or 9-by-9 feet, making it the largest king size bed available.

During the same appearance, Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, mentioned that he regards his four girlfriends as wives, even though he is not legally married to any of them.

He expressed: "'My love life is phenomenal. I'm in a wonderful space. I have four beautiful ladies who are regularly by my side."

Ne-Yo has previously discussed how he informed his seven children about his polyamorous relationships. He shares two children, Madilyn and Mason, with his ex-fiancé, Monyetta Shaw-Carter.

He also shares three children named Shaffer, Roman, and Isabella, with his ex-wife, Crystal Renay.

And he shares his youngest two children, Braiden and Brixton, with influencer Sade Jenea Bagnerise.

During an appearance on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show back in February, he was asked during a Q&A session with fans if his kids have questions about his romantic life.

He responded: "Of course they do. And I answer them with honesty. I’m not hiding anything from anyone, not even my children. I explain, 'Hey, this is daddy’s girlfriend, and so is that one, and that one, and that one too'."

Ne-Yo also shared how his partners sometimes help take care of his kids, saying: "She’ll make you some cereal, she’ll prepare lunch, she’ll do the laundry, and it’s all perfectly fine.

"It’s a family. It’s a community."

Discussing his unconventional relationship more broadly, he added: "The key to making it work is honesty. Everyone has to be truthful.

"It works. Everybody’s honest, everybody’s truthful. Everybody consents.

"I feel like I wasted a lot of time being dishonest, and had I adopted this approach earlier, I could’ve avoided a lot of headaches and heartaches."
